What is MyWorkshops?
MyWorkshops is a workshop registration system, plus a lot more. MyWorkshops lists your staff
development courses, lets users register for your courses, monitors and limits enrollment
numbers, and tracks workshops
that were taken by participants. [top]
Who needs MyWorkshops?
School districts who are tired of shuffling registration papers instead of focusing on teaching workshops.
Staff developers who want to simplify course registration for their teachers.
Teachers who want to monitor workshops in which they are registered or have taken.[top]
Who can use MyWorkshops?
Anyone can browse the list of workshops. Registered users can register for workshops and
view current and past workshops. And all of this can be done at school, at home, or even on
vacation!
A link from your district website easily takes faculty to MyWorkshops. From there, users can browse available workshops, register for upcoming courses, or check the date, time, and location for a course for which they have registered. Each district receives a custom, easy-to-remember URL to access their workshops on MyWorkshops.[top]
How do I
order?
To get started right away, fill out the information
form. Or contact us or call us at 717.514.2714.
We'll get some basic information from you, and you will be ready
to go in about a day or two. [top]
How are workshops added
to MyWorkshops?
Each district has an administrative account. With this account, the administrator
can add/edit/delete workshops, other users, and even add news items to attract attention to upcoming workshops.
[top]
What is the difference between
courses and workshops?
The terms "courses" and "workshops" are interchangeable in MyWorkshops.
[top]
How are users added
to MyWorkshops?
When a user has administrative privileges (defined by your district's MyWorkshops administrator
within the user settings), he/she can add, edit, or delete users. Or if you have more than 10
users to add at one time, send us a file with email addresses, passwords, etc., and we'll upload
the users for you.
[top]
How many course- and/or user-administrators can add/edit/delete
workshops and users?
As many as you want. Each district's administrative account permits the
addition of other administrators, so each person can login with his/her own email address
and password. Perhaps each building in your district has a technology
coordinator. Give this person admistrative privileges so he/she can add
users in his/her building. Or send us a file of users, and we'll upload them for you at no extra charge.
[top]
One of my users lost his/her password. Now what?
You don't have to worry about a thing. MyWorkshops contains a
"password request" feature to automatically email the user's password to the user.
[top]
Can I use my district
colors? Can I use my district logo?
Yes. When a district subscribes to MyWorkshops, the website is
customized to resemble the school colors, and a district logo is included
on each page. [top]
The MyWorkshops demo
says "FislerData.com." Will ours?
Your MyWorkshops will have the name of your district at
the top. We reserve the right to put a FislerData.com link at the bottom
of each page, but at the top, where you see FislerData.com in the demo,
you will see the name of your district. [top]
Are there advertisements?
No. Because districts pay a subscription
fee to use MyWorkshops, we accept no advertising. You can be
sure that your users will see workshops information and nothing else. [top]
How long does a subscription last?
Subscriptions are typically for one year, but we offer shorter subscriptions
at reduced prices for organizations who do not need a 12-month subscription. [top]
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are offered for up to three weeks
after signing up. After that, we are unable to offer a refund. [top]
Do you offer a free trial period?
It is not our standard practice to offer a free trial
period due to the time and resources needed to get MyWorkshops set up for each district. But
if you need to try it and test it further than the demo permits, we'll set up a trial MyWorkshops
for your district. We do our best to keep our customers completely satisfied with our service
and our products. [top]
We need help and support. What do we do?
We respond to support questions promptly. You may email
us or call us with any questions. If the need arises, we are prepared to open a support forum
where subscribing districts and FislerData.com can interact with questions, suggestions, and
tips. [top]
What happens to our list of workshops
at the end of our subscription?
Naturally we hope your subscription never
ends. We provide excellent customer service and a reilable product that
serves a needed educational purpose, and we will do whatever is needed
so that you renew your subscription each year. But if you do choose to
end your subscription, separate text files containing your workshops and participants
will be emailed
to you. [top]
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes. We gladly accept purchase orders
and checks. Credit card payments can be accepted through Paypal, but only
as a final option. [top]
